A Report on Health Expo – 27th– 30th March 2015

 Arogya Bharati, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India Government of  Goa& National Medicinal Plant Board organize “Ayushman Bharat – National Seminar on Medicinal Plants & Health Expo 2015 was successfully held at Kala Academy, Campal, Panajim Goa on 27th – 30th March 2015.

The inauguration of Health expowas done at the auspicious hands of Shri. ShripadYesoNaik, (Hon`ble Minister for AYUSH (I/C), Government of India & in the presence of Sh. RajendraArlekar, Hon`ble Speaker Goa Legislative Assembly, Sh. Francis D`Souza, Hon`ble Dy. ChiefMinister & Heath Minister Government of Goa,MrN. Saniyal, Secretary Ministry of AYUSH, Dr.PramodSawant, CCIM Member, MLA of Goa, Shri. SubhashVelingkarSanrakshakArogya Bharati – Goa. Dr.SanjeevDalvi, Directorate of Health services, has welcome the guest, Introduction of National Seminar was given by Dr. Ramesh Gautam, National Secretary of Arogya Bharati, Vote of Thanks given by  Dr. Sunil Joshi, (PaschimKshetreSanghatanMantri) & Anchoring was done by Dr.SonaliKhadeparker.

Total stalls occupied was 31 and near about 1, 50,000 public visited for expo.

Speciality clinic such as, Ayurveda, Uniani, Accupressure, Nisorgaupachar, Yoga, Homeopathyetc; were arranged. 250 Medicinal plant dry & green were displayed for identification with their medicinal uses for general public.

A Report on National Seminar on Medicinal Plants & Farmers Meet on 28th& 29th March 2015

Event includes:

1) Health Expo from 27th – 30th March 2015

2) National seminar on Medicinal Plants – 28th& 29th March 2015.

3) Farmers Meet – 28th& 29th March 2015.

The inauguration of National Seminar on medicinal Plants & Farmers Meet was done at the auspicious hands of Shri. MinakshiNegi, CEO – NMPB,Dr.SanjeevDalvi, Directorate of Health services, has welcome the guest. Introduction of National Seminar was given by Dr. Ramesh Gautam, National Secretary of Arogya Bharati,Vote of Thanks givenby Mr. P.K Ghate, (Chairman BharatiyaSanskrutiPrabhodini, Shiroda)&Anchoring was done by Mrs Lata S. Naik

Total 450 delegates from AYUSH system like teachers, students,etc attended the national seminar & 60 delegates have presented their research paper.

BalaSahebSawantKrushiVidhyapeeth&GomantakAyurvedMahavidhalyahad exhibited their  medicinal plants & poster related were placed mentioning their medicinal uses. Parshuram Ayurveda Mahavidhalaya, LavteChiplun has presented wonderful 250 laminated posters of medicinal plants with their Names, photos of different parts of same plants with their medicinal uses etc.

  • Field visit for identification of medicinal plants is also needed.

 

Report of Farmers Meet at Goa on 28th& 29th March 2015

Farmers Meet was also successfully held at “Ayushmaan Bharat – National Seminar on Medicinal & Health Expo 2015” at Kala Academy Panjim, Goa for 2 days from 28th& 29th March 2015.

Total 150 farmers’s attended the meet.

  • One Ayurveda doctor (preferred MD Dravyguna) should be appointed as consultant permanent basis in Goa State Medicinal Plant Board & Goa State Bio Diversity Board.
  • After farmers meeting many farmers shown interest in cultivation of medicinal plants
  • Such meet should happen regularly at different Taluka places.
  • Training programme should be arranged for farmers.
